Kevin Bounds is the principal consultant at Briefcase Consulting Limited.

Kevin is a graduate chartered accountant and MBA with extensive financial services experience. After 9 years with J P Morgan, he worked for the Natwest Group, initially as group financial controller for Natwest Investment Bank but then as finance director for Natwest Life. Here he was part of the team that turned the strategic concept into Europe's largest bancassurance start-up and was instrumental in using the balanced scorecard as the key management tool. From here Kevin moved to Nationwide Building Society, as finance director for its newly established Life and Unit Trust companies.

Kevin then moved to KPMG where he headed up the retail financial services world class finance consultancy team and successfully grew the practice.

Throughout his career, Kevin has been a passionate believer in the need to transform finance into a genuine business partner and has acquired a reputation as a leading exponent of the balanced scorecard as a key tool in doing so. He has worked with leading financial services companies in the UK, Switzerland and South Africa and now combines his consultancy and line experience as a finance director to help companies address key issues that often require the intervention of an experienced practitioner who is equally at home in a consultancy or interim management role.
